The simple search mask, available on the homepage, allows you to quickly carry out free text searches within the Author, Title, Subject and Dewey Classification fields of the bibliographic information in the Catalog. The first of the drop-down menus below the search field allows you to limit it to only one of the four fields provided. As a further refinement, it is possible to limit the search to one or more types of resources, through the "Type of resource" selection field.

To start the search, you can use the "enter" key, when you are inside the free text field, or click on the "Search" button.

For example, if we are interested in doing a quick search on Beethoven's musical materials, printed and manuscripts, we can fill in the fields as shown below and then click on "Search". Click on the image to see the result in the OPAC SBN.
